This is a pretty part of Bribie Island with plenty of Cafes along the waterfront. It's a pity dogs aren't allowed on the beach but there are a couple of dog friendly lead-free beach areas within a short drive.

Easy access to beach with lots of cafes around. Also RSL indoor & outdoor eating & entertainment. Seaside Museum very interesting & Buckley's Hole overlooks lagoon with lots birds with Bird Hide further along on left.

We found Bongaree to be a well planned, picturesque suburb. Beautiful water views as you drive, plenty of cafe's and places to eat and the beaches are nice. Pet friendly accommodation, beaches and cafe's made it a true family trip. People fishing off the jetty at Scoopy's café caught a bucket full of Herring before my own eyes. Definitely a place you can unwind and relax and forget about life for a while. Scoopy's café is worth a visit.

The ground floor unit was very spaceous and big enough for a family of 6, 2 bathrooms, good size fridge, balcony overlooks pool and has waterviews of Pumicestone Passage. A walking track, childrens playground and park across the road from Unit. Comfortable walking distance to shops. Ceiling fans in all rooms but no aircon.

4 The apartment was very very hot.

The apartment was very very hot. No air con, wifi, Netflix, youtube. Patterned sheets from the 70’s look. Two large dead cockroaches on kitchen floor. Paint peeling everywhere on bathroom ceiling. Chairs at table were rock hard to sit on. I would give this place a two star rating. The view of the water is overrated as you are ground floor and can’t see it really from the unit.
