10 It has been some 20years since we last visited Bright.
It has been some 20years since we last visited Bright. There were considerable changes over that time as one may expect. Our "prime" reason for visiting Bright was to play golf. The Bright golf course was in excellent condition and the staff were very courteous - as were other gpolfers that we met/passed on the course. The Bright Golf Club is only a short distance from the city centre.

Close to amazing walks, beautiful scenery everywhere Only thing that makes Bright not great place is the very rude staff at most shops and restaurants The Star Hotel being the worst by far, barman rudest man iv ever met, don’t go there!!!!

A small and friendly country town with a nice range of shops. If you enjoy walking or bike riding there's plenty of trails. Explore the surrounding areas and you'll find some interesting places.

10 We have been to Bright a few times and we love it more each...
We have been to Bright a few times and we love it more each time. The town is friendly and has a great vibe. The walking tracks along the river and Rail Trail are excellent. Restaurants, pubs/brewery and shops are wonderful. A great place to base yourself for mountain exploring.

We are a young couple and enjoyed our time doing walks and relaxing in Bright. Should have stayed one extra night to try one more restaurant. Be ware that this is a family destination and you will not be able to escape children here. Lots of the accomodation is geared to families and large in size, therefore you may end up staying somewhere a bit expensive/large for your needs, or in one of the smaller, tireder locations which cater for couples.

8 I overnighted on the way to Mt Hotham.
I overnighted on the way to Mt Hotham. Location is 30 metres from bus stop, so it was perfect. Room is renovated and value for money. Staff made arrangements for the after hours arrival and departure and even put the heating on for a lovely toasty arrival. Highly recommend.

Great location, not directly in town but a short drive. It was nice to not be smack bang in the middle of town. The air was fresh and there is lots of nature around there. They offer bicycle hire for half the price they charge in town and the bikes are also really good. You can then go for a cycle into Bright or out to Harrietville. Park is really neat, tidy and clean. The cabin was also super clean, comfortable with great heating and air conditioning.

Perfect location for skiing, hiking and fishing or just being around Bright and the other towns and alpine valleys of the region. Epic views from the property of Mt Feathertop was a big one for me as I climbed it while there. All this combined with a very comfortable and spacious house with massive decks. Kids and adults alike loved the games room. Kids loved the bikes on the driveway and sailing on the dam on the pirate raft.

The views are spectacular, the gardens were lovely, the house was clean and comfortable with a great big bath to relax in and the small touches of hospitality such as the welcome hamper made it special. Close enough to Bright main town but far enough for privacy and quietness. Also LOVED how it was pet friendly as we were travelling with our beloved pooch.

The cottages were perfectly equipped for a short stay, comfortable and private, set amongst lovely gardens. Amanda was an attentive and amazing host! She gave us so much information about Bright; where to eat, things to do etc., she was so welcoming and friendly.

Family owned Motor inn and is professionally managed. Polite people at the desk. Neat and clean rooms with secure car parking within Inn premises. Near the Bright city centre 2km which makes it the right spot to book for the stay.
