Despite its ugly whaling history and forestry Eden is is a lovely place and at the other end of the nature scale from urban jungles. We spotted Skippy, Joey, Wally, lots of parrots and sea eagles, possums on the roof at night as well as a metre long goanna near Ben Boyd's 'lighthouse'. Eden's main beach is a the stuff of postcards. Townsfolk have done a great job with the whaling museum and most of needs were met by local retailers. For those into creative expression, Eden's jetty / port with its tug boats provides some great material.

So great that Eden is overlooked by most travellers, it's probably one of the few places on the NSW coast that's almost untouched by developers and holiday homes. Like travelling back to 1977, but with good coffee. The environment is amazing, please preserve it.

Eden, located on the beautiful Sapphire Coast has magnificent ocean views and beaches. An amazing history in particular the fishing and whaling industries. There are great attractions and places to visit within Eden and the surrounds. The Killer Whale Museum is a must to visit as too is Two-fold Bay. Will definitely return to explore more of this beautiful area.
