Loved the location. Close to local shops. Our favourite eating place was Scallywags- excellent food and friendly, efficient staff and less than 10 minutes walk away. Close to the beach. Close to the ferry terminus. If you haven't got a car, the bus service is very convenient

Lots of wonderful places to eat and drink, a few boutique stores and Vinnies, for those forgotten items!! The beach was fantastic, with a snorkel trail to do and a walk to a beach bar serving fantastic food.

10 Nelly Bay is a little like the "CBD" of Magnetic Island.
Nelly Bay is a little like the "CBD" of Magnetic Island. Two big developments and several small apartment cluster. An excellent if expensive IGA and lots of restaurants etc. The amazing bus service joining all the main villages starts and stops at Ferry Terminal at Nelly Bay. Would have loved to have explored much more.

Magnetic Islanders were very friendly and helpful. Very good IGA supermarket. A few restaurants with OK food. Well serviced by public buses (which very effectively link up the whole island). Very good forrest walk between Nellie Bay and Arcadia

6 Nelly Bay was good as a base; walking distance to the ferry...
Nelly Bay was good as a base; walking distance to the ferry and serviced by 2 supermarkets. A good bus service on the island but overtaxed by the number of people. other "villiages" did not have the supermarkets so you were purchasing takeaway or resturant food which was more expensive. Yes; we could have gone on more walks, or snorkled or maybe taken a cruise; but overall it was a limited holiday.

The accomodation was good and the host outstanding. Lisa picked us up from the ferry. Recommended things to do, visit and places to eat. Saw a koala on the way to the fort. Take a drinking bottle of water. Eat at SOS and the pirate cafe. The pizza placewas good for a cold beer too. The local bus was easy to get around but next time we will probably hire a motor scooter. Enjoy!

Absolutely loved Arcadia Lodge, staff were great and location couldn’t have been better. Just a short stroll to great pub & coffee shop & convenience store around the corner. We hated to had to leave and will hopefully get back there before heading home to Victoria as there is so much to see & do. We met some really nice people while staying there & met the resident echidnas while there. We would like to thank Ian, V & Craig for their hospitality and advise all that Magnetic Island had to offer.

It was a very quiet and safe location, the apartment was spacious. There was potable water in jugs in the fridge which was a very nice touch as the tap water on magnetic Island has a strong taste when not very cold. The location of the room was OK if you don't mind walking a bit or have a car. It's about a 30 min walk from the ferry and 15 min walk from nearest restaurants. The bus stop was right out front which was very convenient.

The setting was amazing as it was close to the bush and had the most wonderful pool area. There were kookaburras and little marsupials which you might encounter at night. The location wasn't too far from shops etc, but we still used the car to get to and fro as we wanted to experience some of the other walks that Magnetic Island has to offer. It was nice to have a full-size fridge for a change too.

A fabulous spot about 300-400 metres from Magnetic Island Ferry Terminal. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs, and living kitchen dining laundry and toilet "downstairs". (The apartment was in first and second floors - stairs might be a challenge for some?) Apartment was wonderfully light and airy, well furnished and very well set up. Wifi was excellent!

Modern, simple and well-equipped cottage. full kitchen, 2 queen bedrooms, the shower is satisfying. just next door to the grocery and the main Nelly beach is walking distace. Plenty of plants in the garden as well. sitting on the big balcony is wonderful. compare to the hotel, this place is a more homey feeling.

The rooms were very spacious, and had all we needed. The gardens and pool area were gorgeous. It was very quiet and close to the beach. Staff was fantastic and we enjoyed our relaxing Island stay a lot. We came in July and mainly explored the island on foot. A bus stop is conveniently close to the hotel.

Great location on Magnetic Island. Very close to ferry terminal & bus stop. Lovely 2 bedroom apartment, good to have 2 bathrooms & beautiful open living/kitchen area which opens up onto the balcony. Great communication with our hosts & the staff at the resort were lovely.

Great location, really lovely hosts - offered to drive us from the ferry to the house for free. Beautiful villas, gorgeous surroundings, comfy beds. Was lovely to have our own BBQ. Pool area is very pretty, and access to Nelly Bay beach is perfect. Very quiet and peaceful.
