we lived in Noosa 15 years ago it seems to have become a rat race for overcrowding lack of parking and more people than the place can hold. that was why we went to Sunshine Beach, nice and quiet pity about the unit we chose, price was reasonable but there were cheaper and probably much cleaner and better? old surf club had been renovated and Kitchen is now run privately? was charged twice for our meal and when I went back next day I was basically accused of trying to rip them off even though I showed them both charges within minutes of each other, food was ordinary for prices being charged. Drinks where also over the top compared to other clubs and pubs.

10 Sunshine Beach was a really great surprise package for me.
Sunshine Beach was a really great surprise package for me. I only visited for half a day to have a quick surf but I have to say that I think it's even nicer than Noosa. The beach is huge, beautiful and pristine. The actual town itself is nice and quiet with some amazing views and great places to eat.

Quintessentially beautiful Australian beach, and quieter area. Beach is more exposed compared with Hastings Street, so sea is rougher and flagged section is often narrow. Great, but small, mix of local shops/restaurants/cafes. Enough not to have to leave Sunshine Beach, but Hastings St close enough to enjoy by car or walk if you're keen to get 12000 steps thought the Noosa National park.

The accommodation was very comfortable but o missed booking a room with a complete view of the ocean. I didn’t read the information properly so only had a small view which I was very disappointed about but it was my fault. The shops nice and close a beautiful beach. Could have stayed longer.

The shoreline itself is nice, the beach is broad and wide, so make sure to bring sunscreen. The surfers looked pretty happy. The town, however, is more suburban-like than Noosa; not as many shops and restaurants. So it's more for the sea sport than the beach-town scene relative to that.
