We loved hanging out at the Tuncurry Rock Pool with its small beach for kids to swim and play. There's a cafe right next door and council run toilet facilities. The nearby kids playground looks relatively new, and exploring 9 Mile Beach on the other side of the breakwater was excellent. Parking was close to the beach and playground so it was easy. Definitely recommend going to Salt by the Sea for delicious fish and chips takeaway.

We were very grateful that we were able to extend our stay due to an unexpected illness of the relative we were visiting. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful. The room was very comfortable and the location was excellent.

Tuncurry is a beautiful lakeside location, it is completely unspoiled and has been since I was little ( some 40 years ago ). It's beauty is that it's quieter, and less hectic than the Forster side but easily within acess of Forster. I love it here and will always come back.

I enjoyed my stay at the Tuncurry Motor Lodge and will stay there again. I love the pool and the size and privacy of the room. The kitchenette does need a bit more space and the electrical plugs are a bit dangerous with cable stretching across from the sink which has running water. Was not really sure if the fridge was working. It was not very cold and the door seemed to not be connecting well. The reception staff were very good. The parking was a bit intense when I came in late at night from the conference I was attending. Not clear what was available - there were so many cars already parked - I have a four wheel drive vehicle and had to make sure that if I squeezed in somewhere that other people might have difficulty getting out in the morning.

The location was fantastic with the spectacular ocean views, close to fish co-op, restaurants and Woolworths. Spacious modern Holiday furnishings, clean and tidy. Comfortable beds would stay again and recommend to family and friends

I prefer Tuncurry for some reason it’s slightly cheaper than over the bridge. It has a decent pub and Cafés, the best being The Deck near the fish co op. Previous experiences with the pub in FoRster were not good, the food was rubbish. Might have been because it was off season who knows. There’s no reason the food shouldn’t be at least above average no matter the time of year or day of the week. If you want to go to FoRster it’s an easy walk over the bridge or a very short drive but then you beed parking. Tuncurry is beautiful and is not second to the other place.
