Situated between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, the US Virgin Islands’ waters are the piercing shade of blue you only find in paradise. This scenic archipelago is made up of Saint Croix, Saint John and Saint Thomas – home to the vibrant capital of Charlotte Amalie. Beach life, hiking and water sports are the most popular activities, and you can find all three on the island of Saint John. Picturesque parkland covers two-thirds of its area, primed and ready for adventurous treks. Although it’s not the most populated of the US Virgin Islands, Saint Croix is the largest and holds it own with popular scuba diving spots and rum distilleries. Last but not least, Saint Thomas is the place to be for nightlife, with Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook both hosting a number of bustling bars.
