I only stayed overnight on my way from QLD to VIC so didn't get to see much of the town. It seemed like a nice little seaside town though and would have loved to be able to stay longer to explore it.

10 Thank you.
Thank you. We stayed in the apartment and loved every minute. You have thought of all the little extras . Would have stayed longer but already booked. 100% we will be back. Very quick to respond, helpful and pleasant to deal with. ❤️

8 Nice place to chill out and re-energise.
Nice place to chill out and re-energise. You can do as little or more if you wish by jumping in the car and visiting other towns in short driving distance. You will be surprised with what you find don’t just sit and say is that it! Others are happy to just sit and relax! Wishbones was a great little chicken come burger & milkshake place to eat that caters for something for everyone!

The town itself was good, enough places to eat, the walkway along the river is a plus, close to Angourie and a road trip to Broomes Head worth the trip, the Bowling club has a reasonable menu that caters for kids &b adults, ferry ride to Iluka & back was enjoyable at little cost, would go back again, markets on a Wednesday morning (OProduce) & Sunday Markets

The accommodation was a well appointed two bedroom apartment with a carport directly outside the apartment. The staff at The Carmel were very friendly and helpful. The Carmel had a pool and tennis court. They also had bikes available to enable you to get to the attractions and paddle boards available to use Yamba itself is a lovely seaside town with some great beaches and fishing. There is some nice cafes for breakfast and lunch however getting a meal after 7pm is problematic because most cafes close early.

My wife and I visit Yamba often as a quick get-away from the Gold Coast. It is always beautiful and peaceful. As Kiwis, we find it reminds us of small seaside towns in NZ. The food and entertainment at the "Bowlo" across the road is always great. In short, while I doubt young people would find it very exciting, for us "oldies" it is always lovely. We have also taken several boat trips, both up the Clarence River and across to Iluka. Highly recommend both.
